Nicosia/Brussels, 10 November 2022 – The EuroAsia Interconnector announces the signing of a Reservation Agreement with Nexans Norway AS, which constitutes a critical step forward towards the construction of the EuroAsia Interconnector, linking the national electricity grids of Israel, Cyprus and Greece (Crete) with the European electricity grid.

The signed Reservation Agreement enables the commencement of works and ensures the reservation of the required manufacturing and installation capacity to design, manufacture, supply, install and test the onshore and offshore HVDC cable systems for the timely implementation of the world’s longest and deepest subsea electricity interconnector.
